Two of my “claims to somewhat fame” are the blogs I run: All the Blog’s a Page and ChickLitGurrl: high on LATTES & WRITING.
ChickLitGurrl started in 2005 and was a way for me to talk with women writers that I enjoyed reading. EVERY interview – nearly 60 – can be found on the blog on the right hand side, sectioned by year. These women writers offer great insight into their writing process, advice on the industry, and more. A new writer could EASILY go back to a 2005 interview and learn something that could help her/him on the literary journey.
All the Blog’s a Page is my new baby. It started in August 2008, and it began on the premise that everything relates to writing. Every month, a panel of authors respond to questions that deal with a specific subject; their task? To connect that subject to writing. In August, we looked at faith and writing, in September – sex and writing, in October – being male and writing, and this month, we’ve talked to women about how being female influences their writing. In December, we’re looking at homosexuality and writing, and there are a slew of great topics coming up in ‘09, to include death, culture, TV, music, and teen life. Every month’s panel (including their websites) can be found on the right hand side of the blog.
Take the time to check out both blogs, become readers/fans, and comment!
