NaNoWriMo – Day Three
posted by: ShonBaconI knew that when Monday rolled around my productivity would wane.
I’m usually exhausted throughout the week. There are the goings on of being a teacher. There are the plethora of conversations I have with friends and students in which they want me to play fixer and psychiatrist and life aide. There are the million-and-one things that need to be taken care of so that when Friday rolls around, I can take a breath and say, “Thank God It’s Friday.”
Most of the time, I come home and completely veg on the sofa. I get hardly anything done except the occasional grading.
That pretty much summed up my afternoon today, too.
The PLUS side? On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I have two one-hour breaks that I usually use to edit or grade. Well, I didn’t have to edit or grade, so I wrote.
What’s my goal for tomorrow? I’m going to go for 1,000 words. I could possibly do more, but tomorrow is a historic day, and I’m not sure how my emotions are going to affect what I write and how much I write.
I’m sure I can snag at least one hour of normalcy to get my 1k out of the way. Wish me luck…as I’m wishing you guys luck,

I’m glad you are able to fit in the time for the words to flow. I hope the emotions of the country doesn’t weigh to heavy and keep you or me away from our daily goal.
Rest up for the change is coming.

Thanks, sis. This morning, I got emotional big time because of the weight, the significance of tomorrow.
